Yes ,this could be the year, the year when the rapture takes place, the year when life as we know it ends, this could be that year when we all stand for judgment, when the anti Christ makes itself known. Before Christ died, he left us a comprehensive list of things that were to happen preceding the end of the world and the truth is that we have seen most if not all of those signs. The wars, riots, hatred amongst men, betrayal, distrust even within the same family. Rumors of war, natural disasters, love of many waxing cold, idolatry taking hold, mammon (god of money) ruling the hearts of men. These and more were the prophecies of Jesus Christ and we have seen them coming to pass. Nostradamus, a visionary of old whose visions have been said to come to pass, like he saw the Adolf Hitler era, he saw the world war two and other similar world events that have come to pass. He also saw the end of the world, and based on researches by certain white scientists, it could be this year, 2012, because he spoke of solar eclipse, I think the third or fifth being the one that ends the world and the scientists have found out that the final eclipse is expected to be towards the end of this year. You think this is all just spiritual jabbering? NASA in their constant study of the sun are concerned that recently the sun has been unusually quiet, they fear that it may be warming up for what is called a solar flare. Solar flare occurs when two fields on the solar system release their pent up magnetic energy, it’s usually like a twisted rubber ball suddenly snapping. The last time a solar flare occurred, it hit Texas and they had no electricity for a period of one year after it hit. Scientists fear that this time it may be bigger than that. From research it also turns out that the earth does have an expiring date which may just turn out to be December 2012.The movie titled 2012 just goes to show that I’m not the only one with this absurd idea of 2012 being the last year for humanity. i do not believe it totally but based on the above facts and more that I cannot divulge for now, I have to allow a tiny little bit of my heart to ponder on the probability that this could really be the line up to the end.

In light of all these, we must check our ways. This may not be the last year, but if it turns out to be, you don’t want to be caught unawares, do you? This is therefore the time to forgive and to seek forgiveness from those you’ve offended. This is the time to extend love constantly to your neighbors, to set your priorities right knowing that your relationships are of far more value than money, this is the time to realize that your family and friends love who you are and want to spend more time with you not what you have. This is the time to build your relationship with God,I’m not talking about religion, I’m talking about a you and God relationship on a personal level. This is the time to impact those around you, to help those you can, to be your best for whatever happens. Make a decision this year to really make this year count for you and for others that are connected to you directly or indirectly.i just made my decision, what are you waiting for?

” the things we do today…

” the things we do today, will tell what our tomorrow will be. the joys and sadness of today, are decisions of our yesterday.”

Hello everyone, you haven’t heard from me in a while because I was experiencing my first writers block but thanks to Jay The Baker , I am now over it. I was finally able to figure out what I want my blog to be about for this year (haven’t thought of it on long term basis yet) and that’s how I came across “my journey to success”. This year, 2012, my major goal is to be more than I am now, to achieve exponential growth and progress in every part of my life and I mean EVERY. So I felt I should share this most exhilarating journey with you.

Someone said “what we do for ourselves die with us, what we do for others live forever” and I believe that firmly. I am not the only person on this planet that lungs for progress, for quantifiable success, for happiness, fame, money and a whole lot of other beautiful things. As I make this journey, I want you to make it with me and so benefit by achieving your hearts desires as well. I will share with you every book I read, my conversations with people who are already there, I will share my goals with you and fill you on the strategies I use to achieve them. I will share with you the music that spurs me to action and how to discover passion in life. I will give you every blog and web site I come across that proves helpful to me. It’s like reading a biography but experiencing it life. It may be like a journal, getting into my life, seeing me work my way to the top. You can use the tips I give, the sites, etc to make your journey as well. I will be telling you about the habits I will have to drop and why I have to drop them, you will also learn about the habits I’ll have to pick and how I will triumph in gaining those habits.

I know the journey won’t be smooth, in fact it will be tough because I will lose friends, I won’t just gain all the habits at first try, there will be disappointments, etc. you will be on on it all, life! The games I learn, the quotes that help, the mentors, everything.

No journey is fun when travelled alone. I need your encouragements, your advice, your input. I need to know if there are other ways of trying the things that I want to try. I need your company, I need to know that I’m not alone. When I come to crossroads, I need your help. When I have to climb mountains, I need you to pull me up or push me up( whichever one you can) and by the grace of God, come December 2012, we will be dining and celebrating together at the top!

Can I count on you?

We all have and have had dreams at one point in our lives. A desire as simple as wanting to be on the baseball team in high school, is a dream. Desiring to go to a particular college is a dream. There are big dreams and small dreams and every dream is a dream. I write this for those whose dreams have died, for someone who didn’t make it into the team, for someone who blew their last chance at an age restricted contest. I write this for someone who dreamt of the promotion and instead got sacked. I write for those whose dreams just somehow don’t apply anymore, can’t apply anymore. In the words of Joel Osteen, I say to you, when one dream dies, dream another dream.

Don’t let the death of one dream kill your life, don’t dwell in depression for the rest of your life. Life is not ended until you breath your last breathe. As long as you’re breathing, you can still fight. You can dream another dream and fight for it once more till you succeed and if you don’t make it again, dream another dream. Don’t let life sap you of itself. Someone said, fear not the end of your life but fear rather that you might not begin to live. Sometimes life is one setback after another but to the man that stands and perseveres through them all, the man that bounces back even higher than a basket ball, to him life eventually salutes by giving him not just his heart desires but gifts he never even imagined.

Don’t dress sloppy and walk around with your shoulders slouched anymore, don’t close your curtains and stay in the gloomy darkness of your house anymore, don’t disconnect from friends and loved ones, fight again. Dream another dream, draw open your curtain, face the sun and inhale that energy, inhale the blessing of enthusiasm that the sun gives, pick up your best cloth, give it a good ironing, admire yourself in the mirror and take your chin up, smile and stride out of your house, out of your hiding place with confidence, ready to fight again.

Remember the poem of the relentless spider, he strived and fell and strived and fell, and strived and fell but eventually he succeeded, he made it to the top. Life isn’t fair, but again who ever said it was meant to be fair? Fight your fight, fight for what you believe in, fight for your dream and a little advice, fight like your life actually depended on it. The world cannot say no to a resilient person, the world cannot say no to a not-quitter, the world cannot say no to you if you give all you’ve got. I’m not talking about giving your best shot, I’m talking about giving all you’ve got. Everything!

I believe you can do it and I look forward to sharing in your success story!

Love to hear from you, leave your comments please.

I came across this great poem in the book titled “The purpose driven life”. I enjoyed it so much I had to share it with you guys.

You are who you are for a reason. You’re part of an intricate plan. you’re a precious and perfect unique design, called God’s special woman or man.

You look like you look for a reason. Our God made no mistake. He knit you together within the womb, you’re just what He wanted to make.

The parents you had were the ones he chose, and no matter how you may feel, they were custom designed with God’s plan in mind, and they bear the Master’s seal.

No, that trauma you faced was not easy, and God wept that it hurt you so; but it was allowed to shape your heart, so that into His likeness you’d grow.

You are who you are for a reason, you’ve been formed by the Master’s rod. You are who you are beloved, because there is a God.

I hope it ministers to you as much as it ministered to me. Love y’all, bye.

How many times have you wished to just wake up one morning and find you’re successful? Many. How many times have you wished to just wake up one morning and find that you are super rich? Many. How many times have you wished to just wake up and find out that you’re famous? Many. Yes, many times I have felt that way. I mean Justin Bieber wasn’t always on TV and all of a sudden I wake up one morning and BOOM! He’s everywhere on every channel, playing on every radio station. We all like to think about overnight successes but sorry to bust your bubble (and mine), there’s no such thing as an overnight success.

Lately as I have begun to read different biographies of successful people, I have discovered that success doesn’t just happen. Most times the beginning of success (i.e. when you pay the price) is greeted with obscurity. The cameras aren’t there when the race begins, when the swim against life’s torrents begin. The cameras aren’t there through the formative period and so on the day when you claim your prize, it seems overnight, and it seems you just popped out of nowhere. A model at the peak of her career was referred to as an overnight success and she laughed and said “I am a ten years overnight success!”. It stunned me. So for ten years she had been preparing to emerge but no one noticed or gave a damn and now they just felt she was an overnight success!

I used to think that beauty pageants were a piece of cake. I mean it’s just about making up your face, wearing a pretty cloth and cat walking with smiles while waving the audience. What could be so hard about that, right? Wrong. I discovered my folly as I begun to read an eBook I just downloaded from http://www.4shared.com this week, titled BEAUTY QUEENS by LIBBA BRAY.(Will give a review on it at a later time, maybe another article when I’m done reading it) This book opened my eyes to see the challenges in something I felt was so easy. I mean these girls starve themselves to be skinny. They couldn’t be themselves most of the time because they just had to act in a way that society termed appropriate. They had to smile even when they felt horrible inside. Some of them went on anti depressants just because they were to never be in a bad mood. They couldn’t, weren’t allowed to face reality because they had to always be what the world said “positive” people. As I pored into their lives, I realized how difficult and alone most of them felt. I realized how much like acting it was. I began to wonder if I could go through it all and not break. Some of them had to change their personalities to fake ones because their handlers felt their real personalities weren’t beauty queen worthy. But all we see are the smiles on the stage, all we see are the pretty clothes and the glamour. We don’t see the strength of these girls, the hours of exercising and practicing.

There is no such thing as an overnight success. Yes, this is my journey to success and I’m glad I called it so because it really is a journey. Yours and my efforts to be better people won’t be met with applause now, but it’s a process. We shouldn’t get discouraged if we are not recognized three four months from now. It doesn’t happen that way. It may even take several years for our efforts to be noticed but the catch is to faithfully and committedly pursue our dreams with or without applause.

No one knew Bill Gates when he began working on the Microsoft program. No one knew or applauded Oprah when she first entered TV broadcasting. It takes time to emerge. This season where you work on your own towards the prize is needed so that you can be strong and make decisions independent of the crowd. It’s like you’re in a cocoon. You are, I am, we are that beautiful butterfly in the caterpillar stage. We are trying to break this shell and come out but we need to do it on our own. A little help and we will emerge too weak and our emerging becomes a nightmare rather than a glory.

There’s no such thing as an overnight success, so stop wishing it. Put your head down and work towards the prize faithfully even before the camera sets its light on you. We can do it because we are winners, born great and born to do great things. We will leave our footprints in the sands of time. I know we can, and we will. So work away, whether you’re complimented or not, whether you’re recognized or not, whether you’re awarded or not. Work whether you’re booed or not, in the end you will emerge and we will all clink our glasses of champagne together as we celebrate at the top and share our stories of triumph with each other.

Love yyou all, bye.

Please leave your comments, I will very much love to hear from you.

the life of a christian is a call to stand out, it is a call to be different from your peers and the society. as a christian, you are a city set on a hill that cannot be hid, you are a born leader, born to rule , to lead, to control. you are the salt of the earth and the light of the world, without you life becomes more difficult for so many, so intolerable. you are called to make decisions not just for your family but for the society in which you live. you are not called to be just another face in the crowd, you are born to be the face not just another face. you are kings and priests, you have authority wherever you go, you are in charge there. step up to your place, take charge, be different, stand out because that was what you were born to do. the world needs you now more than ever to take your place and make things alot better. i’m counting on you too just as i have counted on myself.
